bracelet

A bracelet made from small discs with pictures on, linked by chains, that was given to Patricia Barlow by her father, Fredrick Barlow. He bought it while serving in North Africa during the Second World War. Regimental Sergeant Major Fredrick Walter Barlow served with the Rifle Brigade and died shortly after the start of the 2nd Battle of El Alamein on 25.10.1942. His wife, Dorothy Grace Barlow, was in the NAAFI (Navy, Army and Air Forces Institutes) at the Royal Naval Base, Portsmouth. It is part of a collection relating to the Searl family (the Barlow and Dowling branches).
