Make up was hard to come by during the Second World War but women were still encouraged to keep up appearances to help ‘boost morale’. In this practical workshop you will discover what these enterprising women can teach us about using homemade make up as part of a sustainable environmentally friendly lifestyle. Led by 1940’s expert Cathy Guilder, you will learn how to make simple cosmetics, a makeup remover, simple face cream and stress soak for the bath.
Tickets are £60 and include lunch and refreshments. They must be booked in advance on Eventbrite.
