During 2019, as conservation of Landing Craft Tank 7074 was underway, The D-Day Story worked closely with regional museum partners and local people to discover the story of LCT 7074.
The 59-metre LCT 7074 is the last surviving ship of its kind, used at D-Day to carry tanks, men and supplies. Museums and local people worked together to uncover stories through volunteer research and oral histories. On a site visit to the LCT, veterans also shared their stories.
The fascinating story is captured in short films and a longer feature created by Unity House. Click the tiles below to find out more.
